The PEACE Pathway

I was introduced to the PEACE pathway by my Occupational Therapist at the time of my autism diagnosis, and it has been really helpful in educating me and suggesting ways that I can help myself to make the world easier to navigate, through for example, the sensory checklist.

“PEACE is a Pathway for Eating disorders and Autism developed from Clinical Experience. Our research suggests that around 35% of people experiencing an eating disorder may be autistic, or present with high levels of autistic traits. We hope this pathway will support autistic people suffering with an eating disorder, their loved ones and their clinicians.”

The clinicians and researchers who make up the PEACE Team have produced a range of materials to support

  • those with autism and eating distress
  • carers
  • clinicians

The PEACE blog features posts written by a variety of people including members of the PEACE team, dieticians, loved-ones, clinicians and related experts. Posts cover a range of topics including case studies, dietetics, conference and research reports, and sensory information.

Whether users are carers, clinicians or those with autism and eating distress, the PEACE website provides a selection of suitable downloadable resources.
