Pebbledash

The use of pebbledash as one of the surfaces in the ‘OPEN’ OPEN exhibition at The NewBridge Project reminded me of one of the houses that I delivered a newspaper to when I did a paper round as a child. The scratches I received as a result of scraping past this sharp surface made me cringe! For the exhibition, ‘OPEN’ OPEN, Jenny Alderson was invited to create an installation, Making Space, that references the context of The NewBridge Project by incorporating a rich mix of materials, textures, and colours taken from its building and the surrounding Shieldfield area. Pebbledash was one of the materials Jenny included in the installation.
