During the recent series of talks organised to celebrate the launch of artED digital zine <arted.online>  we talked a lot about recovery. What does it mean? Is it possible to be fully recovered? What needs in place to rebuild a hopeful, satisfying, and contributing life…?  Are we always ‘in recovery’…? Recovery is a uniquely personal journey and can mean different things to different people at different times. It’s a big, complex subject, and one that artED would like to investigate more.

In the first curated artEDition, artED is inviting your contributions in response to: Recovery, what does that look like for you?

Submissions could be a poem, a piece of creative writing, an essay, a drawing, a photograph,

documentation of an artwork, a soundwork, an audio reading, a video, or you may like to write your own ‘Deeper Dive’, submit an image that’s  ‘On Your Radar’ or highlight something from your own ‘Diary’.

Please note:

• Unfortunately, at this time artED is unable to offer a fee for material submitted but is working towards being able to offer fees in the future as it builds a community.

• Please send your submissions to hello@arted.online and include your name and any links or social media profiles so that artED is able to credit you.

• artED can only accept digital files. Jpgs, MP3/MP4 no longer that 5 minutes.

• artEDition #1 is curated so artED can’t guarantee that all submissions will be included but artED will endeavour to include as much as possible.

• Deadline: 11:59pm on Sunday 5^th January 2025
