Creative Becoming Podcast Launch - 4pm - 22nd June - Autistic Culture Podcast Network

I’m excited to announce that on 22 June 2026 the Autistic Culture Podcast Network will launch Creative Becoming, a podcast for anyone curious about identity, creativity, storytelling, and autistic culture.

Hosted by me, a late-diagnosed autistic artist and PhD student, and my close friend Elizabeth Moffett, a neurotypical librarian, the show provides practical tools and tips for anyone beginning a journey of creative discovery, whether autistic or not.

We explore how art and storytelling are not just things people do for fun: they are key tools for self-knowledge and identity. Each episode offers strategies for embedding creativity into daily life together with honest discussion of the trials and tribulations along the way.

“Creative Becoming models something rare: an honest, warm, cross-neurotype collaboration,” said Simon Scott, Co-Founder and Head of Production and Programming for the Autistic Culture Podcast Network.

Over the course of six episodes we explore the concept of creative becoming, graphic art diaries, the theories of Jerome Bruner and Dan McAdams on narrative identity, the pillars of autistic culture, and how to create safe physical spaces where creativity can flourish.

“This show makes the case that creativity and identity are inseparable and invites everyone in,” added Dr Angela Kingdon, Co-Founder and Director of Strategy and Marketing.

The show premieres on 22 June 2026 and is available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and all major podcast platforms.

The Autistic Culture Podcast Network is hosting a virtual Summer Launch Party on 22 June 2026 at 4pm UK Time (BST) to celebrate the new season of shows. The public is welcome.
